Every fall, Tru72 installs heating and cooling systems for a few local households across the Mid-Willamette Valley in Oregon, at no cost to the families selected. Nominations stay open year-round.
Anyone can nominate. Yourself, a family member, a neighbor, someone you know through your community.
The idea is simple.
Why we do this.
The shop on 1st Avenue has been running since 1972. The standard Richard A. Larsell set the day he opened the doors is the same standard we hold every job to: honest work, technical excellence, stand behind your word.
Most of our installs go on an invoice. A few each year do not, because the household couldn't otherwise afford a working system.
Same crew. Same standard. No bill.
Three steps. Nothing complicated.
Nominate
Anyone can submit a nomination. Yourself, a family member, a neighbor, someone you know through your community.
Review
Each fall, we read every nomination from the year and look for households where a new system would make the biggest difference.
Install
The household is contacted. We schedule, install the right-sized system, and commission it before we leave. No cost.
How households are chosen. Plainly.
Priority goes to households where the system has failed and a fix isn't financially possible.
Owner-occupied primary residences across the Mid-Willamette Valley service area.
Eligible with landlord coordination. We work with the property owner to confirm install authorization before scheduling.
Mid-Willamette Valley Oregon, dispatched from the shop on 1st Avenue in Albany.
The existing system has failed or is failing, and a repair or replacement isn't financially possible for the household.
Seniors, veterans, families with young children, and households with someone living with a disability or chronic illness.
A working HVAC system would materially change the household's safety, health, or quality of life.

If the household you want to nominate is at the edge of our radius, submit anyway. We'll let you know if it falls outside what we can reach.

Anything you can tell us about the household and what's going on with their system helps the review. Every nomination is read. Selection isn't guaranteed.
All nominations are confidential. The Tru72 leadership team is the only audience. Selected households are contacted directly by Tru72 in the fall. Nominators are not notified of the selection outcome.

The review happens in the fall. Nominations submitted today are read this year. Nominations submitted later roll forward into next year's review. The work is the same standard we hold every paid job to. The only difference is the invoice.

Tru72 Heating & Cooling installs a right-sized heating and cooling system at no cost for a few Mid-Willamette Valley households every fall, in Albany, Corvallis, Philomath, Lebanon, Tangent, Millersburg, Sweet Home, Brownsville, Halsey, Harrisburg, Scio, Shedd, Jefferson, Sublimity and Stayton, from the Albany dispatch at 815-A SE 1st Ave E. Homeowners and renters are both eligible, nominations stay open year-round, and anyone can submit one. Oregon CCB #40820.
